Greek Diving Center LTD is a company which was established in 1980 with interests
in Marine Offshore, Civil Diving, Scientific Research and Archaeological discoveries.
Our Company is world wide in its operations, but has particular interests in Greece
and Middle East.
In addition to diving operations we maintain a school for training divers and updating
our own personnel in the latest technical standards and qualifications.
We have created a diving instruction program with great success, with our school
being nationally and internationally accredited.
We are a member and official sponsor of the institute of Oceanographic Research,
and have taken part in all activities organized by the Institute both with personnel
and equipment.
We are fully accredited by all classification societies :
GDC engages in most aspects of underwater activities ranging from civil engineering,
ship repairing, hull cleaning and inspection, oil field diving services, oil field maintenance
and construction, NDT services. We can carry out still and video photography with dual
communication system between diver and attending surveyor.
We have a “HYBALL” ROV for self diving equipped with video equipment.
We also carry out underwater drilling, blasting and demolition, salvage and wreck removal,
underwater grit blasting and paining, underwater consultancy services,
tail shaft and rudder pintle measurements, propeller polishing etc.
We always use the best of techniques and equipment in our work.
Our aim is to always improve the quality of our services by using both our experience
and expertise, the most modern techniques and tools.
In the domain of Underwater Hull Cleaning we have designed and built two new systems
for which we hold patents and we are already acknowledged as pioneers in this field.
Our diving staffs are all graduates of the Special Underwater forces of the Hellenic Navy
as well as holders of other professional degrees and licenses. Despite the diving personnel,
our company also occupies Naval architects, naval engineers and Captains.
Greek Diving Center is the only company that in cooperation with Senior service and
the Ministry of Culture worked on the localization, research and the disclosure
of “FETHI BULENT” salvage that sunk in 1912 by the torpedoboat 11, with governor
Nikolao Votsi.
